Costa Rica, A Land of Profitable Investments
    by Julius Robles

A more lucrative area for a strategic investment in Central America today is Costa Rica. Brought about by the upsurge of tourism in the country, the "rich coast" or Costa Rica is experiencing some sort of a brisk, more balanced and stronger economic boom. All over the country, whether in the Pacific shores or the Caribbean coastlines the increase in numbers of high class residential condominium projects, developments of exclusive beach front villas and mushrooming serene upper class communities are results of a developing, rapidly growing stable market. Such venture brings constant yields and enormous profits to those who believed and invested their money particularly in the real estate market.

The province of Guanacaste, for instance, has turned into a rising commercial hub that represents some of the biggest investments in Costa Rica as a direct result of the growth in tourism the province has experienced over recent years. A huge capital infused by hotel tycoons for the construction of a first class hotel (Four Seasons Hotel) edifice within the vicinity propelled the economic boosts for the province. Since the project was completed, the tourism and real estate activity have become very active, creating a trend of new opportunities and giving confidence to other investors to place their money in this part of Costa Rica. The province has the largest in real estate investments in 2006. An increase by 133.5% of construction permit granted to concessions and developers when compared to last year is already an overwhelming evidence of the previously mentioned growth.

The mounting number of residential and commercial projects consequently promotes the creation of new services and enterprise in the region. Constructions of commercial centers, corporate business offices including law and accounting offices, real estate agencies, commercial banks, to mention a few are just some of the businesses and commercial opportunities born out of the continued growth of tourism in Costa Rica.

With the rising cost of Real Estate in Europe and Northern America and the ever growing percentage of foreclosures in both continents, Costa Rica is an excellent option for people seeking to invest in property or a retirement home. Costa Rica shares many of the same amenities as U.S., Canada and Europe at a fraction of the cost. Compared to European markets and particularly in the US, Costa Rica on the average is cheaper by 70% and recently, real estate values have been tripling in just a few years. Investments advisers in Costa Rica disclosed that as more and more people discover Costa Rica, the potential for growth is tremendous.

Cheaper luxury in an area of amazing natural beauty is what is bringing them here, and the result is increasing property values.

Where you place your investments in Costa Rica should be the least of your worries because with all the signs of a growing economy, a stable real estate market, promising yields and absolute returns of your investments, timing is now of the essence. It is very crucial in your decision-making. The more you delay the more you feel like you are losing money; the money that you are supposed to earn had you decide to act now.
